My Approach
My approach is based on flexibility and timely client-specific guidance. I am always focused on providing services that meet the client's business goals as efficiently as possible.
In-person Communication
I find that regular communication promotes greater efficiency and a deeper understanding of my clients' businesses. In addition to being on-site regularly to meet with management and staff, I find it very beneficial to sit in on client Board meetings and do not charge my clients to do so. I have found that few better opportunities exist to understand the issues driving client's businesses.
Coordination with Outside Counsel
My clients retain their outside law firms for larger transactions and specialized expertise. I work closely with outside counsel to utilize my clients' legal resources as efficiently as possible. In some cases this means performing tasks that might otherwise go to the outside firm, and in others I manage the outside firm's work, relieving company management of that responsibility.
Extra-Legal Value Added Services
I also work to add value to clients that exceeds the scope of the "pure legal" work I perform, whether through my experience with industry norms or by making introductions to people or businesses who can contribute to a venture.
Mechanics
I am available to work on-site at client facilities or remotely, though my preference is to spend time at client facilities regularly. I can also use client-internal email and phone contacts to simplify communication with my clients' business partners.
