Variety of Client Base

I have spent my legal career working with growing companies, principally in the emerging-growth arena. Many of my clients have been technology-based, although I have also worked with restaurants and food product companies, investment advisers, service businesses and many other types of companies. I have worked with venture-funded companies as well as companies that do not fit the venture mold and understand well the differences in approach that each path entails.

Outside General Counsel Role Throughout Career

The most significant commonality among all of my clients is that, with one or two exceptions, none have had in-house counsel. As such, I have acted as outside general counsel to essentially all of my clients throughout my career. Parkhill Venture Counsel takes this approach a step further by standing in for in-house counsel.

Diversity of Subject Areas

I know well the variety of demands on the management team and understand the requirements of efficiency and business-focused legal guidance. I have experience counseling clients on entity formation and founder equity issues, venture capital financings, licensing, development and other technology transactions, employment counseling, M&A and corporate governance matters.
